Troubleshooting

Start with the doctor command:


bunx burrete doctor

It checks the app bundle, Quick Look extension, qlmanage, and installed version.

Common checks

Open Burrete.app once after install.
Confirm the app is installed where you expect it.
Refresh Quick Look after replacing the app.
Check whether the file type is supported.
Use the desktop workspace when the Finder Quick Look surface is too constrained.
Confirm optional tools such as xyzrender or VESTA are installed before using workflows that depend on them.

The desktop app can export a local diagnostics bundle from Settings > System > Diagnostics or from the command palette.

Diagnostics bundles are local files only. They do not upload telemetry and do not include raw molecule file contents or structure payloads.
